ABOUT US
Dani Pohring Born and raised in Southern California, Danielle Pohring (known to her students as just "Dani") started taking informal, easy-going horseback riding lessons at the age of 7. Immediately addicted to riding and wanting to participate in equestrian sports, Dani began her formal hunter/jumper training at Elvenstar Academy in Moorpark, California. Although Dani was very fond of Elvenstar, a friend had introduced her to the Agoura-Woodland Hills Pony Club, in which she gained the foundation to riding in three-day eventing. When the Agoura-Woodland Hills Pony Club hosted clinics for their students, Dani was always sure to participate. Some of these clinics included internationally recognized trainers and riders such as Mark Watring, Debbie Rosen and Brian Sabo. Dani, with her talent and dedication to riding, quickly climbed the ranks within Pony Club, and in 1995, qualified for Pony Club's National Championships held in Lexington, Kentucky. At the age of 15, Dani received her C-3 rating and wholeheartedly felt that she only wanted to focus on hunter/jumper training. Shortly thereafter, Dani left the Agoura-Woodland Hills Pony Club to pursue her career in hunter/jumper training at Foxfield, located in Westlake Village, California. After making this decision, she sought the training of Nancy Prosser of West View Farms to help her achieve her goals in the jumper ring. With time and dedication, Dani soon became very competitive within the "A" circuit, gaining high recognition from many trainers and riders in the area. After a year's time, Dani had moved from being a top student to becoming assistant trainer at West View Farms. Over the past decade, Dani has assistant several top hunter/jumper trainers in not only training horses, but also teaching students and showing horses for clients. Today, Dani has taken her combination of knowledge and experience learned from two decades of showing and training, her wonderful ability to teach and motivate students and her overall passion for horses to another level. She now operates her own training barn, Midnight Farms tucked away in Moorpark. Midnight Farms is named after her beloved jumper, "Midnight Express," that is no longer with us, but canters through her heart each and every day. "Midnight Express" was the horse that motivated her to take the step into helping her students attain the goals they have set out to achieve. She, along with everyone at Midnight Farms, welcomes all to come and join us at the barn.
